Five Convention was held here on
the week end of March 15, with
Joe Goldberg and William Wal-
lace of Augusta 192 winning the

Columbia 254 winning the orator-
ical. contest. The Monarch Aleph
Club of Richmond won the Dis-
trict basketball finals.
The Convention began on Sun-
day afternoon, at which time the
Monarch Aleph Club competed
against the Savannah 206 basket-
ball team. In a very heart-fought
contest, with the winning basket
being thrown in the last two sec-
onds of the game, the Monarch
Aleph Club won, 30-29. Steinberg
of the Monarch Alephs was high
scorer with 14 points. Lowe of
Savannah was second with ten.
