Throughout the world, BBYO'ers joined in celebrations
to commemorate Yom Ha'atzmut, the 25th anniversary of
the State of Israel. In most communities, BBYO members
either planned their own celebrations, participated in
community events, or did both.
In Winnipeg, Red River Region decorated a truck and
along with seven other vehicles participated in a com-

In Michigan, BBYO sponsored a Walk For Israel to raise
money for the Israel Emergency Fund of the United Jewish

represent the 25 years of Israel's history. Each "year"

many sponsors as possible.
In Minneapolis, BBYO sponsored a similar 25-mile
Walk For Israel also designed to raise money for the Israel
Emergency. The BBYO Walk kicked off the community's
"Week of Simcha."

considered a great honor for Noar Lenoar to have been
