In accordance with the motion passed at the last meeting of
the Supreme Advisory Council, to the effect that the final
selection of a camp site for the 1937 international conven-
tion be left in the hands of the S.A.C., by mail vote, I am
advising, herewith, of the results of an investigation con-
ducted by the Executive Committee.
During the past two months your Executive Secretary has
personally investigated all of the known desirable sites
for a camp in District No. 1, in accordance with the desire
expressed by the last international convention of the boys,
to the effect that the 1937 camp be held in District No. 1,
provided a suitable site was available. This action was con-
firmed by the S.A.C.
A report on my investigation was made at the Executive Com-
mittee meeting of the S.A.C. held yesterday, in Omaha, and
that body has recommended Napanoch Country Club, Napanoch,
N.Y., as the site for the 1937 camp convention.
LOCATION AND TRANSPORTATION
Napanoch Country Club is located 92 miles north and west of
New York City on route #55, three miles north of Napanoch,
N.Y. It is serviced by the New York-Ontario Railroad and
twelve daily buses from New York City. Napanoch is a small
village. Ellenville, with a population of several thousand
is a resort community, seven miles distant.
DATES
The camp must be vacated by Friday afternoon, July 2nd, which
would call for the beginning of camp Friday noon, June 25th,
1937.
