RE: BROTHERHOOD RESOLUTIONS FOR YOUTH AND DEMOCRACY RALLIES
Dear Advisor:
The National Conference of Christians and Jews made public
the other day good will resolutions which Americans of all
faiths will be asked to adopt during "Brotherhood Week"
February 18-25. The resolutions were prepared by the Rev.
Dr. Robert A. Ashworth. National Brotherhood Week Secretary.
You will find a copy of the resolutions enclosed herewith.
In view of the fact that Brothe rhood Week occurs during the
time when most of our Youth and Democracy rallies will be held,
it has been suggested that same be incorporated into the program
of your local youth and democracy rally. It is our thought that
the chairman of your meeting will read aloud each resolution,
and have same repeated by the audience present.
As you know, our original plans for the rallies were worked
out with Dr. Clinchy, the head of the National Conference, and
Mr. Gutstadt of the Anti-Defama tion League, as a part of the
program of "Brotherhood Week"
Trusting that you will turn this over to the A.Z.A. Chairman
in charge of the Youth and Democracy rally, and that you will
be able to work it into your local program, I remain
Sincerely and fraternally,
JB.AS
