A few weeks ago I was in Omaha and spent some time with Harry Sidman and Max Givot and we tried to remember some things and found that our memories at least were "doddering", although the three of us, at the moment, are all in good health. The original group of boys met in the spring of 1922 and formed the organization known as "Aleph Zadik Aleph". At that time there was a young man, all of 21 years of age, living in Omaha and working as a chemist for the Armour Packing Company, by the name of Nathan Mnookin. Nate was a good friend of my brother Dave's and we asked him to be our advisor. Actually, Nate was with us only about a year and decided to return to his hometown, Kansas City, Missouri, We then asked a young man by the name of Oscar Weinstein to be our advisor and he was for a matter of a very few months. He also left the city. At that time, the star of Sam Beber
