TO THE SUPREME ADVISORY COUNCIL:
Enclosed you will find a copy of the minutes of the
Executive Committee meeting held on September 4th, 1927.
There is one point of particular interest which was de-
cided upon at this meeting and which calls for immediate
action, and that is, the making of plans for A.Z.A. Day. The
Committee was of the opinion that the plan used last year,
that of sending speakers from out-of-town to every chapter-
should be continued. You doubtless realize that the problem
of securing 65 prominent Bnai Brith men to speak at these
cities is a large. The task is doubly increased because we
are very desirous of securing the best possible speakers who
are at the same time but a short distance from the chapter
which they will address. You are probably in a position to
suggest the names of a number of individuals who are capable
of delivering fine addresses. If you will consult the Sept-
ember 15th issue of the Shofer, you will find a list of our
chapters. Will you take this list into consideration and send
us a list of men whom you think are the type we should have at
some of these meetings and who at the same time are not too
far removed from the chapters included in the list? I would
like to give these speakers just as much notice of their en-
gagement as possible; so promptness on your part in sending
the list to us would be greatly appreciated.
In a recent letter to you, our President requested that
you write the President of your District Grand Lodge and the
members of the Executive Committee of the Bnai Brith and ex-
plain to them the contemplated work and needs of the A.Z.A.
for the coming year. We must get a great amount of money from
the Constitution Grand Lodge during the next year and then
our President and Treasurer will be present at the next meet-
ing of the Executive Committee to explain the needs of the
Order and to try to secure the necessary funds. It will help
our cause if you would comply with our President's request
and he would greatly appreciate your cooperation.
PK:SA
Sincerely and fraternally,
P.M Alutgnick
