RULES FOR THE
SHIELD OF DAVID AWARD
ALEPH ZADIK ALEPH OF B'NAI B
1. The Shield of David Award shall be given for either
outstanding "activity" or "leadership" in A.Z.A.
2. Every aleph is eligible; however, the application for
the award must be made before the applicant becomes an
alumnus.
3. Any number of alephs from the same chapter or aleph club
may make application at the same time.
4. An application must be certified by the Advisor, Aleph
Godol, and Aleph Mazkir, and shall testify to the fact
that the application has been checked and verified. by
authentic chapter records.
5. The application shall also be verified against records
at the national headquarters.
6. Applications shall be submitted at the annual meeting of
the Supreme Advisory Council.
7. The award shall be in the form of a medallion shield
attached to a blue and white ribbon. Separate pins
symbolizing "activity" and "leadership" shall be attached
to the ribbon.
8. Holders of the award shall be. urged to wear the award at
all official A.Z.A. functions.
9. In order to obtain the Shield of David Award for "activity",
at least 100 points shall have been earned from the fol-
lowing categories of activity:

served for a term. and attended every
committee meeting and function unless
officially excused.
