Julius Bisno to Aleph Mazkirs of Chapters and Aleph Clubs Memorandum, June 10, 1940
ALEPH ZADIK ALEPH
Supreme Advisory Council. Junior B'nai B'rith
EXECUTIVE OFFICES:
June 10, 1940
1003 K Street, N. W.
WASHINGTON, D.C.
To Aleph Mazkirs of
Chapters and Aleph Clubs
Dear Aleph Mazkir:
We wish to direct your attention to the following:
1. SEMI-ANNUAL ASSESSMENT
On July 1st your chapter or Aleph Club will be assessed
1.00 for each active aleph on the books of the S.A.C.
as of that date. If there have been recent suspensions,
and you have not advised your Field Secretary or City
Director, -do so at once, giving him the name of each
Aleph and the date of said action. If there have been
unreported reinstatements do likewise. You have not
authority to report a suspension or a reinstatement
unless the chapter or Aleph Club has taken official action.
The S.A.C. will close its books on the 25th. Therefore
said membership changes must be in the hands of your Field
Secretary or City Director by midnight June 24th. Remember
these men are all leaving for the camp convention and will
not be able to take care of this at a later date.
We hope that there will not be any suspensions and that
there will be many reinstatements as we want to hold our
present membership gains.
2. SEMI-ANNUAL ELECTION
At your last meeting this month you should ele ct a new
set of officers. All officers are elected for six months,
until December 31, 1940, except the Aleph Mazkir who is
elected for one year.
Enclosed herewith you will find two copies of the official
"election report" (Form #6). Make out both copies and
send immediately following the election to your Field
Secretary or City Director. This is very important.
