Dear Bruno:
I forwarded your letter to Julie but since he is so busy with his one
day stops in each town, he dashed off a note to me and asked that I
answer you directly.
Because of your special qualifications for the job, we will pay you
a salary of $3650 per year. As we explained to you at your interview,
there is unlimited possibilities of increase in your responsibilities
and consequently your salary. At the present moment, we don't wish
to bargain as to salary. We offered you the top price because we felt
that you were the man for the position.
The details with reference to a car expense a llowance, can be worked
out later on with Julie. I don't think that you will face any
difficulty or disagreement in respect to your traveling expenses.
Julie agrees that it would be desirable for you to have a car.
I sincerely hope that you will decide to accept this position with the
A.Z.A. I know that the A.Z.A. will benefit from your new point of
view as well as from your background, associations, and experience. I
am sure that for you this job will offer a real opportunity for original
work and for a concrete contribution to the Jewish field of group work.
You will find the staff easy to work with and eager to accept new ideas
and original plans for the further development of our work.
Let me know of your decision as soon as possible.
