Dear Doctor:
I am answering your letter of December 29th for
the reason that Philip Klutznick has not yet returned
from his western trip.
Your suggestion as usual is a good one and we shall
make use of it in our February programs. Will you please
send us the data and material which you mention?
I just received my copy of the Bnai Brith Manual
and on the whole, I am sure that it represents a very
concise and remarkably complete collection of facts and
statistics of Jewish interest. I know that you must
have devoted a great deal of time and thought to this
work, and knowing that, I dislike very much making any
sort of criticism. However, I cannot help but tell you
how surprised and disappointed I was when I found that
you did not include a paragraph on the A.Z.A. in your
article on the I.O.B.B. which appears on page XI which
should have been listed as a Bnai Brith activity along
with the Anti-Defamation League, the Hillel Foundation,
etc. It should also have been listed in the rear of
the book as one of the National Jewish organizations.
I am not making this criticism in the hope that the
manual will be recalled and reprinted, for the omission
is certainly not important enough to demand that, and
even were it more important I know that it would be a
practical impossibility to make the correction as far
as the manual is concerned. My only purpose in making
this criticism is with the hope that A.Z.A. will be
given more consideration in the future propaganda dis-
tributed by your office.
