Tree-Planting
Tree-planting holds special meaning for Jews. The Talmud contains the story of the sage Choni Hama'agel, who is asked by a man why he is planting a carob tree, since he would not live long enough to eat its fruit. Choni Hama'agel responds, "Just as my ancestors planted for me, I plant this tree for my descendants." As such, BBYO teens plant trees for future generations.
