CONSTITUTION OF THE SUPREME ADVISORY
COUNCIL OF THE ORDER OF ALEPH ZADIK ALEPH OF
THE INDEPENDENT ORDER OF B'NAI B'RITH
PREAMBLE
The Order of Aleph Zadik Aleph of the Independent Order of B'nai
B'rith shall have for its purpose the enrollment of all desirable
Jewish young men in a fraternal organization having for its purpose
the mental, moral and physical development of its members and of man-
kind; the eradication of bigotry and race prejudice; and the support
and assistance of humanitarian, educational and philanthropic
endeavors.
ARTICLE L, NAME
This body shall be known as the "Supreme Advisory Council of the
Order of Aleph Zadik Aleph of the Independent Order of B'nai B'rith."
ARTICLE 11. JURISDICTION
The jurisdiction of this Supreme Advisory Council extends to every
country in the world.
ARTICLE 111 Headquarters
The seat of government of the Order shall be the residence of the
President of the Supreme Advisory Council.
ARTICLE IV. MEMBERSHIP
Section 1. The Supreme Advisory Council shall be made up of Senior
Members and Junior Members.
Section 2. Senior Members.
(A) The president of each District Grand Lodge of the I.O.B.B.
where there are five or more A. 4. A. Chapters shall appoint, with
the advice and consent of his General Committee, three members of
the D'nai B'rith who have served as Advisors to A. 4. A. Chapters.
(B) The president of the Constitution Grand Lodge of the
I.O.B. B. shall appoint one member of the Executive Committee of the
I. 0. B. B.
(C) The men appointed as provided by sub-division A and B
aforesaid shall constitute the Senior members of the Supreme
Advisory Council.
(D) Senior members shall serve for a period of five years.
Section 3 Junior Members.
(A) The Grand Aleph Godol shall be a Junior Member of the
Supreme Advisory Council during his term of office.
(B) At each annual convocation of the Chapters of the Order
there shall be elected from among the active and alumni members
of the A. 4. A. seven Junior members of the Supreme Advisory Council.
(C) Junior members when elected shall serve for a period of
one year.
ARTICLE V Officers
Section 1. The officers of the Supreme Advisory Council shall be
members of the Supreme Advisory Coûncil, and shall be elected by
a majority of the votes cast by the Council at a regular session.
